Neuroplasticity or brain plasticity refers to the changes in neural pathways and synapses caused by all sorts of changes in neural processes, environment, behaviour, emotions, and even bodily injury. Aside from playing a crucial role in both learning and memory, it has a direct impact on how we act in any given situation.

Quote by David Perlmutter M.D.

Neurons that fire together, wire together. Everything we see, think, feel and do is embedded in our vast network of brain cells. Our neurons develop connections which strengthen over time as we repeat our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

To make the most of our brain’s plasticity, we must always be ready to grab new learning opportunities, feed information to our brain and rewire it as we continue to grow.

Our cells listen to everything we say and do, every minute of every day. Unfortunately, those who have a habit of repeating self-defeating words or panicking in stressful situations are not in a very good position, as they are subconsciously pushing their brain to develop bad neurological pathways.

If you want to live a positive and healthy life, do your best to fight negative thoughts, and be in control of your behaviour. Foster positive thinking and self-affirmation; plant seeds of positivity and watch them grow.

Try telling yourself everyday:

  • I am happy, healthy, and grateful.
  • I am beautiful because of the things that make me who I am.
  • I am talented in many ways and I will begin to use them today.
  • I am a master learner, everything I learn I retain.
  • I attract into my life the people I need to fulfill my mission.
  • I have what it takes to be extremely successful.
  • My capability to conquer my challenges is limitless.

Indeed you are what you think. Our mind is so powerful that our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions can directly affect every cell in our body. They can determine whether we’re moving closer to optimal health or farther from it. We have to be mindful, continuously raise our consciousness and develop positive and healthy habits.

  1. I try to tell myself every day that I’m lucky. So even if I have a problem, I say to myself that I am lucky because other people have far worse problems than me.
Amazing advice by the way, very inspiring.
